The staff was wonderful, especially Ruth.
Our room was a bit small. Next time we will request room with a balcony.

Location to Old city of Jerusalem and Downtown. In a quiet area. Cold breakfast was adequate.
Hall ways and stair wells dirty. Dead fly was on a step in stair well the whole time we were there. Old carpet and mattress in stair well. Staff was helpful, but felt like they were ambivalent. Front desk was helpful arranging a tour, but then did not tell us the cab was ready to pick us up. No telephones in rooms. In the first room we had a broken mattress and a toilet that smelled of swamp gas. We got a second room and that had a broken toilet. A guy came to look at it and said he would be back to fix it. He never came back to fix it. What a waste of water!

I appreciated the free wifi in the rooms.
We stayed at several hotels in our recent trip to Israel, including the Eden. We did not enjoy our stay at the Eden and don't plan to go back. Aside from free wifi in the room, we found the hotel to be problematic. First, it is really is far off the beaten track and any money you save on the room will be spent on cabs and time lost on buses. The room itself had no hairdryer (and no outlet in the bathroom!) and no room phone (so no wake up call). (There was a hairdryer to borrow from the front desk, but the plug did not work with the outlet in the room.) The bathroom had a strange odor. There were three unwrapped tiny bars of soap and two minimal packets of shampoo in the room. When we arrived, we needed to wait for our room- even though we arrived after 3pm, but when we asked about extending the check-out from 11 to noon, we were told no way. The breakfast is not the usually Israelli breakfast, but something more minimal.

The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. The air-conditioner worked great. The hotel is in a quiet residential neighbourhood. Nice and relaxing.
The hotel is a little difficult to find in the maze of small one way streets. It's a bit of a walk (10 to 15 min) to get to any place to eat.

I liked the breakfasts and the friendly reception. The beds were comfortable and it is was very nice to wake up to the light bird signing. There is something relaxing about the place. If it were redecorated it would be wonderful.
Wen I came in my room there was an army of ants on the fridge that was not cleaned properly but the reception then gave me the choice of 4 other rooms and one was fine. Another night, the cab drivers didnt know how to find the hotel. There should be a bigger sign. The carpets are ugly and were not clean.

We stayed in the hotel only for 1 night, but was really surprised as I booked DBl + extra and we got 2 room apartment with very nica baclony. The staff was extreamly helpful. The place is very calm and look safe to have a evening walk. We travelled with the car and easy found a place to park for free just near by the hotel. Breakfast was simple kosher (without meat) but good. To get to the old city will take you 5 min by car or 15 min by feet.
The only drawback is that there's no restaurants around the hotel as its placed in the resedential area, it will take you 15 min by feet to get to the place to have a dinner. Wifi is only on the lobby floor.

Location is perfect, cause far from turistic place in a very quite area. but you need a car. Parking not a problem. breakfast is exellent: different cheese, cream cheese, vegetables... it's not a 5star breakfast, but it's much more than we expect. you have teapot on your room.
it's not a modern hotel, and car is nessesary if you chose it.

While the location is somewhat obscure (but then we heard its fairly new) the neighborhood is quite nice, The food was more than adequate except they need to make real coffee.
The room was not clean and the service staff was fairly gruff about nay issue we had. It is certainly adequate and functional but not anything more than that.

Excellent breakfast, pleasant staff.
Room not clean, shower leaks all over floor, no clock or telephone in room. But a reasonable experience for our needs.
